Dutch Translators

Experience |
Recently I've done some work for a well-known American agency ("leader in the field of Spanish to English translations"). I've translated part of a Ph.D thesis for them from Dutch into English. And I’ve also translated IT related documents, through another agency, for one of the major Dutch banks. |
Specialist Fields |
Done some translations in the field of medicine that I found very interesting (e.g. a text on tracheostomy tubes), but I’ve also translated texts on Islam, the art trade etc. |
Education |
I received my post-secondary professional training as a translator English and Dutch at the LOI, a Dutch institute for distance learning. In the past I've also studied English and German for several years at a Dutch teacher training college, and I've taken part in an English course for foreign students in the UK (Eastbourne). |
Informal Statement |
Whenever I'm working on a translation I always try to put a little extra work into it to find not just 'a translation', but the best possible translation for a difficult phrase, or a fitting synonym to avoid repetition. |
