Education

With a growing multi-cultural society we are aware of the requirements public sector organisations have in terms of providing equal opportunities to all cultures, in particular to meet their communication needs. While it would be impractical to have all teaching materials translated we have identified a number of key areas which may be beneficial to schools, colleges and universities;
  • Prospectus Translation - Enhance the profile of your educational establishment for overseas prospects and attract a high calibre of student.
  • Translation/Interpretation/Dubbing of public relations materials such as promotional DVDs, brochures, flyers and documents
  • Documentation for student exchange programmes
  • Teaching materials - for those areas which do not have a common language e.g. Internation schools www.cois.org. New York has around 1 million students of which, around 40% live in homes where a language other than English is spoken.
With budgets tight, we have recognised there is a need for public sector organisations to be able to procure translation services at a price which fits into their budget. While our prices are highly competitive, our translators also work with Computer Aided Translation tools (CAT tools) which enable us to provide you with a translation memory for each project completed. With this translation memory we can greatly reduce the costs for completing subsequent projects which match closely with previously completed translations. Within teaching materials there tends to be a lot of repitition in terms of outlining objectives and where subjects overlap. With the CAT tools, translators can translate a document in a greatly reduced amount of time and can save you up to 30% of the total cost. This in turn allows us to provide a high quality service at a price which you might find at the lower end of the market.
